I loved her singing when I was a little girl during the War. This song and Lilli Marlene, but my favourite was Sailor which I imagined she sang for my Daddy who was a Sailor. He was with her husband in the Royal Navy. My little Brother loved Lilli Marlene and would sing along. He was a bit confused with the words and would sing "Underneath the lamp post" much to my Mum and my amusement! Reliving the days of my youth with her wonderful singing. Thank you.

I remember as a kid in the 1950s remarking to my Dad about Vera Lynn, often on TV, but he used to say that for him and lots of the guys who served in WW2 their favourite was Anne Shelton !
