Great song, great singer. Another present day overlooked African American singer is Harvey Thompson who, I would venture to say, is on a par with Billy Eckstine. He is living and working in Japan at the moment. Check him out. I was lucky enough to see Billy and Sarah Vaugan in London at the Silk Cut Jazz Festival - what a night!
