Peter Noone does a very lovely rendition of this song.  His voice is so sincere and tender.

What a lovely, sweet voice, maybe the best in tune one of the British Invasion

Why, oh why, oh why, do artists think they have to alter the original melody when performing their hit song live or re-recording it? They do it 100% of the time.

Such a sad song. I remember hearing it for the first when I was 10 yr. old. I found out later a country singer Skeeter Davis, had recorded the song first in 1962.

Tempo is a little slower than the record. A classic also recorded by Skeeter Davis in 1963.
