I’ve been listening maybe 50 times to this Masterpiece! And It’s getting better every time! Beautiful, Beautiful! John Coltrane and McCoy Tyner, you made The Best jazz ballad ever!

John Coltrane playing the soprano on Everytime You Say Goodbye - My Favorite Ballad ever - is even as good as the very Best of Sidney Bechet on the same instrument! Allthough of course you can’t compare New Orleans Jazz with Coltrane’s Hard Bop or Cool Jazz. But the way they play: I’ll call it even! And: John makes Everytime one of the greatest Masterpieces in jazz!

His sax is crying with everyone who has to say goodbye to what can ever be, making the pain just a little less and bearable.

the strong dramatic blocks McCoy tyner plays before his last go in his solo capture the tone of the track ..so beautiful...longing...haunting...

I must add, that McCoy Tyner and his marvellous, beautiful, outstanding, unforgettable piano solo plays at least the half part of the succes, this song has had after the recording in 1959. I have never heard him better!
