Great rendition of The divine raga, Revati, very similar to Raga Bairagi, both create a similar emotion in us. Take us to an upper world. Thank you for posting this piece.

This is a speciality of Indian classical arts ,all are comes under spiritual. I am studying Carnatic violin and mridangam. The thing is that whatever we are trying to play is the result of .1% of practice. Perfection only comes by practice. And practical way of imagination(we called it as "manodharma") comes by listening the concerts. And one thing is that when we play mridangam the vocals may go through different perspectives of raga that may not expect by any accompanist. At that point we have to play instrument in suitable way. This is done only by listening music and practice it repeatedly. We do not prefer chords but prefer micro tunes or Gamakas between each notes(swaras). This will identify each Raga perfectly. And another thing is that accept the existence of the other music and other culture are important for studying more. Note: The tune in the Carnatic ,Hindustani and western Violin is different. From my perspective only. Please correct me if any thing is wrong

Is the violin tuned differently ? It seems to have a deeper sound and goes into low registers

Soulful, beautiful Indian classical music. Remind me of the movie; Salaam Bombay. Thank you Mr. L. Subramaniam.
