On Contemplation:Do people realize that McCoy has a very spiritual bearing. Indeed one wonders how much of an influence he was in collaboration with John Coltrane. He is a great Jazz Pianist. Yet he also had a spiritual grounding - let me explain!!! McCoy had/ has a sensitivity for the earth and other human beings that is rare among his generation and all generations of North American musicians be they Black or White . If there is a God McCoy is a good entrance point. God Bless Him!
