This album was realeased posthumously. A few of the songs were recent recording (pretty much 1995), but many were from a few years earlier -- left "in the can," not designated toward an album -- which is why, song by song, her voice carries a different clarity and sharpness in some, and a calming, soothing raspiness in others. But man-o-man, what a voice.
