Stackridge appeared at a " Pop festival"at Huddersfield Towns ground in 1975. I was recruited as a steward and was paid £10. Stackridge were excellent, eclectic, to say the least. Do the Stanley appealed to me and my then fiance, as she came from a village, near Stanley, in County Durham. A mining town, where Kevin Keegans family had lived. Rest of the bill, Geordie, Mack and Katiecasue, AND MUD,! I spoke to one of the band, re the price of the burgers. He was a very nice guy.

Brilliant! Saw them live August 1st, 1974, for the princely sum of 85p. Good times were had by all at this concert!

I remember doing the Stanley at college every disco in the 70s when I was very drunk. It was the signature song of the college drunks
