He had a large dramatic voice with perfect diction and phrazing throughout any aria he sang .no squeesing and scooping with great hi notes and no problem being heard live . i thought he was rarely off ,But i guess thats just subjective . enjoy

Grande Del Monaco!!!, one of the best of the best of all times!!!. He, Caruso, Pertile, Corelli, Filipeschi, Di Stefano,etc. formed the "Armada Imperial" from Italy, giving birth to the opera as we knew it. Now, a bunch of stupid "crazy regiseurs" and other crapp people, are trying to stole the dignity of heroic-romantic lyric. Voices like this are no longer available, due to bad teaching, but above all...NO RESPECT FOR HEROICAL VOICES!!!!!. Bravo Del Monaco for ever!!!!

this is mario trying to sell the first videos of the day. he was a freak but a great voice when he was on! most of the time he was way off but there are some great recordings of him live. best of luck
